likely i'm responsible for this confusion. the label two scoops is a truncated version of a title off a tracklist i received from stangl, for the once top-secret king toad mystery album. it might have been labeled off-handedly, perhaps even in jest! the song was later released (at least on a CD to me) via the furious skinny [these heads are monster heads] / king toad [stupid old zombies] split. again, song names MIA. the title two scoops probably propagated due to my usage of it on a mix.

----------------
two scoops of lovin'

you watch the cars come and go
they move along in rows
as the daylight quickly wanes

felt the cold on your face
it held your scarf in place
and quickly buried the day's remains

find you standing here
you squint your eyes and think
you never will be left behind

and when you're out there on your own
twenty years from home
i will be standing on the corner in the rain

dim light shines in the hall...
as you let your body fall
through the doorway
towards the kitchen sink and
the water falls into your hands
you swallow all your plans
and everything you hate
will drown in your mouth

nobody follows me home
i will remind you that
i never will be left behind again

you're out there on your own
shouting through the phone
i will be standing on the corner in the rain
and when you're on the window ledge
moving closer towards the edge
i will be hiding in the corners of your brain

you want the lightning
not the thunder
you're scared to move
because you mind go under
where were you when you woke up today
when you woke up today
when you woke up today
did you wake up today?
(ahh (ahh (ahh (ahhh!)))

& when you're out there on your own
all your thoughts are overgrown
i will be burning my umbrella in the rain
when you hear the final call
they need someone to take that fall
but you said that you will never be that way again
not that way again
oh not that way again
----------------

that being said, what do you name it proper?

Wow! You typed out all the lyrics! I do know that song, s'true. ...I can't remember what I ended up calling it... oh yeah, "Swallow Your Plans." That was it. I never did record a proper version, though, and it never saw release on a proper album (you and Chris probably have the only "Stupid Old Zombies" in existence, I surely don't). Maybe some day I'll finish it for reals.
